About

Cathy brings her knowledge and experience from past careers in law, fashion, and real estate, to best serve her clients’ design needs. She completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, then went on to get her law degree from UCLA. After law school, she moved to New York City where she worked as an attorney while also attending design school at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She returned to the Bay Area and opened her own custom bridal gown studio. She then obtained her broker’s license and worked for a few years in the local residential real estate market. Feeling the creative itch again, she went back to school at UC Berkeley Extension to complete the Certificate Program in Interior Design & Interior Architecture. She has 10+ years of experience, having worked with Bay Area designers and architects on both residential and small commercial projects, including a Napa winery with an Airstream! She started as a design assistant with Decorotation and became a Senior Designer at Banner Day Interiors, leading residential projects throughout the Bay Area. She now works as an interior designer at Arcsine, an architecture firm in Oakland which specializes in hospitality projects.
